DESCRIPTION:

The Neisseria Gonorrhoeae antigen test kit is utilized to identify N. Gonorrhoeae by visually assessing the color development within the internal strip. The membrane is equipped with gonococcal Antigen-specific polyclonal antibody at the test position (T) and relevant antibodies at the control position (C).

During the testing process, the specimen is introduced into the sample well (S) and reacts with anti-gonococcus monoclonal antibody, which is conjugated to colored polystyrene latex microspheres and pre-coated onto the sample pad of the test. Subsequently, this mixture moves through the membrane via capillary effect and interacts with immobilized monoclonal antibody on the membrane. If there is a sufficient presence of gonococcus antigens in the specimen, a colored band will emerge at the test well (T) of the membrane. This colored band signifies a positive result, while its absence indicates a negative result. A colored band at the control region functions as a procedural control, indicating the proper specimen volume addition and membrane wicking.
